Do you ever wonder what to do with all of those Christmas cards you’ve saved over the years? Well, there are many things that you can do. If you’re feeling sentimental and just don’t want to throw them away, here are a few ideas. One thing you can do is use the entire card as an ornament. Take a push pin and make a hole, then put the ornament hook through and hang on the tree. If the card has some personal notes that you don’t wish for others to see, then cut the front of the card and just hang it on the tree. Another thing you can do is make your own Christmas card using the front of an old card and cut them and paste them onto construction paper or cardstock. Be creative and perhaps make a collage of some of your favorite cards for someone special.
Sometimes the image on the card may not be all that interesting, but the border could be quite artistic. I cut the image out and then place one of my photos or drawings and create a frame to hang on the tree or place on the wall. Anything that you can think of can become art with just a little time and patience.
You can also make gift tags with old cards by just cutting out the design and on the blank side of the card write to and from, add a bow or a piece of ribbon and your gift card is ready.
